Learning and development is the cornerstone for the growth of an entrepreneur. Up grading the knowledge and skill sets plays an important role in the growth of their business venture.
SC/ST enterprises need support in technological upgradation, in enhancing capacity, and in provisioning better availability of credit to be able to cater to the larger markets. While several government schemes exist to address the need for such support, additional assistance would be extended to SC/ST enterprises through the Hub. Skill Development and upgradation would be undertaken through various schemes under National Skill Development Mission.
Ministry of MSME would be sponsoring/providing financial support for organizing Seminars/Symposiums/Workshops on various issues concerning the SC/ST enterprises. Such activities are an essential part of the scheme for capacity building, for strengthening of database, for advocacy by Industry Associations.
Training programmes will be undertaken to build capacity of the budding entrepreneurs by providing knowledge in setting up and running enterprises, in proposal making, and in developing finance linkages. Programmes will also be undertaken to create awareness about the 'Stand Up India' initiative of Govt. of India besides providing post sanction hand-holding support.
Select enterprises will be nurtured and accelerated by facilitating infrastructure, credit, technology and marketing support. The responsive capacity building will involve ex-bankers, industrialists, industry associations and other bodies for mentorship.
As part of infrastructure development, adopted SC/ST enterprises by CPSEs would be considered in line with start-up ecosystem. The programmes will be organized in collaboration with incubation centers, educational institutions, private organizations and research and development institutions
