Single Point Registration Scheme (SPRS)

The Government is the single largest buyer of a variety of goods. With a view to increase the share of purchases from the small-scale sector, the Government Stores Purchase Programme was launched in 1955-56. NSIC registers Micro & small Enterprises (MSEs) under Single Point Registration scheme (SPRS) for participation in Government Purchases.

Benefits of Registration
  • 1. Issue of the Tender Sets free of cost;
  • 2. Exemption from payment of Earnest Money Deposit (EMD),
  • 3. In tender participating MSEs quoting price within price band of L1+15 per cent shall also be allowed to supply a portion upto 20% of requirement by bringing down their price to L1 Price where L1 is non MSEs.

Special Marketing Assistance Scheme (SMAS)

Under the above scheme, marketing support is provided to the SC/ST enterprises for enhancement of competitiveness and marketability of their products through National SC-ST Hub by way of the following type event::

  • 1. Organizing Visit to International Exhibitions/Trade Fairs/Seminars Abroad
  • 2. Participation in International Exhibitions/Trade Fairs Abroad
  • 3. Organizing Visit to Domestic Exhibitions/Trade Fairs
  • 4. Participation in Domestic Exhibitions/Trade Fairs
  • 5. Vendor Development Programmes
  • 6. Organizing Workshops/Seminars/Awareness Campaigns

Testing Fee Reimbursement Schemes

Reimbursement of 80% or Rs 1,00,000/- (excluding GST and other applicable taxes), whichever is lower, charged as Testing fee, for availing testing services from NABL accredited laboratories & license or certification fee from BIS, in a financial year.

Export Promotion Council Membership Reimbursement Scheme

Reimbursement of 80% or Rs 20,000/- (excluding GST and other applicable taxes), whichever is less, in a financial year to SC/ST MSEs on membership fees charged by Export Promotion Councils (EPCs) .

Bank Loan Processing Reimbursement Scheme

Reimbursement of 80% or Rs. 1,00,000/- (excluding GST and other applicable taxes), whichever is less, on Bank loan processing chargespaid by SC/ST MSEs in availing business loans.

Bank Guarantee Charges Reimbursement Scheme

Reimbursement of 80% or Rs. 1,00,000/- (excluding GST and other applicable taxes), whichever is less, on Performance Bank guarantee charges paid by SC/ST MSEs for participation in tenders of Central/ State Govt. and PSEs.

Capacity Building Management Fee Reimbursement Scheme Scheme

Reimbursement of course fees for SC/ST entrepreneurs and their ward, for attending short term (1-30 days duration) training programs from top 50 management institutes identified by Ministry of Human Resource Development under the National Institute Ranking Framework (NIRF).

Membership fee of Government promoted e-commerce portals

The component has provision for Reimbursement of Membership fee of Government promoted e-commerce portals such as GeM, e-khadi, TRIFED, Tribes India, MSME Mart, etc. to SC/ST MSEs.

The financial assistance may be provided 80% or maximum of Rs. 25,000/- (excluding applicable taxes) whichever is less, per financial year for new as well as renewals for SC/ST MSE.

Mr. Sukumar

Mr. Sukumar from Bangalore has been running a logistics business since 2005, catering to the private sector. Though initially skeptical about public procurement, he learned about the National SC-ST Hub (NSSH) scheme and participated in its Awareness and Special Vendor Development Programs. With support from the NSSH Office in Bangalore, he successfully tendered for the Food Corporation of India, securing an order worth Rs 7.23 Crore. He also benefited from the Reimbursement of Bank Charges on Performance Bank Guarantee.

Ms. K Paone

Ms. K Paone, a woman entrepreneur from Manipur, turned her small embroidery and sewing shop into a successful business. Her unit, Skill Trader, availed a benefit of Rs. 1.72 lakh under SCLCSS component and also participated in domestic exhibitions under SMAS component of National SC-ST Hub. With the support from NSSH, she was able to increase her turnover from Rs. 5 lakh to Rs. 30 lakh and presently employs 12 people in her unit.

Ms. Hemlata

Smt. Hemlata Chandra, Co-founder of M/s Athom Electric Pvt. Ltd., boosted her business through National SC-ST Hub and PSUs like IOCL and GAIL. With support from NSSH, including Rs 1 lakh testing fee reimbursement subsidy and participation in IIM Jammu's Business Accelerator Program, her company's turnover soared from Rs 23 lakhs in 2019 to over Rs 1 crore in 2024. She also expanded her workforce from 4 to 15 employees.

Smt. Krishna Kumari, the owner of Krishna Creation, has built a successful apparel manufacturing business. Starting with her own savings and just two helpers, Krishna focused on producing high quality, customized clothing. Through the National SC-ST Hub, she attended awareness campaigns, registered on e-commerce portals and participated in 8 domestic and 2 international exhibitions. These opportunities led to a significant growth in her business. Further, through SMAS, she was able to secure reimbursements for stall and travel charges. Today, Krishna employs 10 people and continues to grow, with her venture.

Sh. Dinesh Rajvanshi's journey from humble beginnings in Gujarat to entrepreneurial success is inspiring. Born into a modest family, he joined the family business of industrial compressors in 1986, focusing on R&D. His dedication to society was evident when he repaired ventilators for a hospital. Seeking to scale his business, he secured a Rs 25 Lakh subsidy under the NSSH's Special Credit Linked Capital Subsidy Scheme and attended Special Vendor Development Programs. This support led to work orders from DRDO and ISRO. His firm's compressors now play a crucial role in the Chandrayan-3 mission.
