Venture Capital Fund for Scheduled Castes (VCF-SC), is a first-of-its-kind Venture Capital Fund launched by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India to promote entrepreneurship in India among the Scheduled Castes by providing concessional finance to them.
The Ambedkar Social Innovation and Incubation Mission (ASIIM) initiative, implemented by the Venture Capital Fund for Scheduled Castes (VCF-SC) is an initiative to promote innovation and enterprise in SC students studying in higher educational institutions. Under ASIIM initiative, SC youth are identified with start-up ideas through the Technology Business Incubators (TBIs) in various higher educational institutions. They are funded @ Rs. 30 lakhs in 3 years as equity funding so that they can translate their start-up ideas into commercial ventures. Successful ventures further qualifies for venture funding of up to Rs.15 Cr from the Venture Capital Fund for Scheduled Castes.
AYE-MENTOR, is a mentorship program for SC entrepreneurs and young SC innovators / researchers aiming at fostering innovation, growth and providing valuable support and guidance from experienced mentors from Industry/ Institutions / Banks etc.
